Just back from (belatedly) listening to this installment.
ReplyDeleteThe director's name, William Beaudine, is pronounced bo-DEEN - just in case it ever comes up again.
Aside: Mr. Beaudine's granddaughter, Wendy L. Marshall, wrote a detailed biography of him, William Beaudine - From Silents To Television (with filmography and index, it runs to 386 pages). Not much here about Green Hornet, but you do learn about The Bowery Boys, Lassie, Spin And Marty, and Bill Beaudine's cinema triumphs Bela Lugosi Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla, Billy The Kid Vs. Dracula, and Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter.
I haven't yet listened to the other Hornet episodes, so you might have mentioned this before:
Lloyd Gough, who played Mike Axford - his name is pronounced GOFF (rhymes with 'cough').
He got guest star billing on a couple of Quinn Martin shows, which is how I know this.
Thank you for your kind attention.
