Ivor Francis was around for a long, long time ...
I backdate him to Room 222, where he was a semi-regular as the Old,Old Teacher Mr. Dragan, who gave the kids so much grief.
Ivor Francis made the rounds of the sitcoms, playing stuck-up types for most of his TV career.
But what I really remember him for was as the real-life father of General Hospital Legend Genie Francis - Laura of "Luke & Laura" fame.
Because Ivor Francis passed on in 1986, he just missed Genie's marriage two years later to Star Trek's Jonathan Frakes (now in its 38th year) (insert your own line here).
And these days, Genie/Laura is now the Mayor on General Hospital, which means that if John Colicos were still around to play some Cassadine or other ... well, who knows?
